Alejandro Luis Guerra

Hello! I'm a UI designer with skills in front-end development and graphic design seeking opportunities in my home state Texas. For the past year, I have been focused on redesigning a local non-profit cultural arts organization that has been operating in my hometown of Seguin Texas for 40 years. The arts have had an impact on my childhood through this organization, and I want to give back to my community by continuing to provide my design skills and hopefully inspire the youth of the next generation. I tend to thrive working around people for efficient communication, but working alone can also be very productive. Personally, I want to work towards mastering front-end development because this will be the only way to execute my design the way I intend for it to be displayed.

Everything I code or design always begins with a grid. As I dive deeper into front-end development, I start to understand that it's a little about learning how to build it, but a majority of learning how everything works together and knowing what to edit. I have an analytic personality and enjoy executing the cycles of iteration and design. I consider a website a "live" organism that has the ability to change with human nature and sometimes even change human behavior. Information architecture and content strategy is becoming more important these days with increasing complexity online and this data is being shared faster and faster all over the world. I believe my UI skills will improve naturally, but I am more interested in the entire process working together.
